CLOTHING PROGRAM

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, over 12% of the population of Pierce County lives in poverty. It is estimated that nearly 7% of school-age children in the Peninsula School District live in poverty. For many of these children, buying clothing is a financial burden. Harbor Hope Center partners with individuals, businesses and community organizations to provide new clothing for students.  Additionally, support from the Kiwanis Club of Gig Harbor and their Kiwanis Cares for Kids Program, provides for clothing for students..
